As the Manager, Sales - Workforce Development for Professional and Continuing Education at the University of Adelaide, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans for our workforce development offering. This includes customised education programs, capability frameworks, coaching and profiling services, online short courses and credentials. By identifying strategic and creative new ways of selling our existing and new workforce development solutions, you’ll help organisations build their employees’ skills and capabilities for the jobs of the future. Your professional and approachable nature will enable you to influence and engage with a diverse client-base that includes local, national, and international organisations, including the defence, energy and mining and health sectors. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our Associate Director of Business Development and manage a small team of business development professionals to align sales efforts with our goals and objectives, as well as evaluate the workforce development offering to ensure it is high-quality, customer-centred and financially sustainable. What you’ll need to succeed: Proven experience in driving sales and generating new business within complex sales environments. Established networks in both industry and government sectors. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets. Demonstrated success in identifying revenue streams and increasing revenue. Demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing pressures and interests. Experience identifying market opportunities and undertaking market insight evaluations. Experience with CRM management, data interpretation and report generation. The successful candidate should have high level written and verbal communication along with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
