Description Purpose of Role To manage financial processes and procedures to mitigate risks and allow the finance team to deliver QTC financial reporting and compliance requirements efficiently. Responsibilities & Accountabilities Monitor and reconcile QTC’s main bank accounts and provide funding information Perform the accounts payable and receivable functions (maintain accuracy and timeliness of the payment of suppliers and issuing of invoices) Support queries from within the business on the P2P process Manage vendor relations and respond to queries on outstanding invoices Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders Complete applicable month end processes including journal entries and reconciliations Administer motor vehicle leases Administer fixed asset register and depreciation Assist in the completion of State and Federal taxation compliance and reporting requirements (PAYG tax, payroll tax, FBT, GST and Tax equivalents) Assist in responding to internal and external audit queries and information requirements Participate in testing of system upgrades and new financial instruments through the Financial Management System Identify opportunities and drive business process improvements Assist in the establishment and maintenance of applicable team procedures Competencies Technical Competencies Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Able liaise and support senior leaders Analytical and solution focused Behavioural Competencies Integrity, including upholding strong professional and ethical standards. Qualifications Essential We are seeking either an entry level accountant, with tertiary qualifications working in a similar role, or an experienced accounts payable and administration accountant. Desirable Customer support or customer service experience. Essential Less than 2 years prior relevant experience required. Desirable To be successful in the role it essential that you have excellent communication skills, able to assist and provide solutions to senior leaders within the organisation. You will also demonstrate strong attention to detail, a high analytical ability, and personal drive, integrity, and accountability. You must be motivated by identifying opportunities and driving business process improvements.
