About the role: Well regarded engineering consultant providing engineering solutions to the minerals processing sector. Opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer to join the growing Perth team lead a team of junior and experienced engineers. Role will have both a strong technical and management focus. You will oversee the structural team to conduct a range of technical services, covering all activities from client interaction, project development/preliminary design, detail design, construction support & commissioning in line with safety, schedule, budget and quality parameters for mining processing facilities and associated infrastructure. Lead & mentor a team of engineers, managing resources effectively to meet project needs, technical competence and employee engagement Engage closely with Designers to produce models and oversee/conduct detailed concrete and steel design for variety of mining and process infrastructure Provide input and oversight to technically challenging design problems and other project activities including feasibility studies, surveys and reports, specifications, bills of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates Interface with other Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Process and Mechanical Focus on safety, technical innovation and continuous improvement Permanent staff and initial 12 month contract (hourly rate) engagements both considered Perth CBD based location. Key Criteria: Experience as a Lead Structural Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer within an engineering consultant environment servicing the mining/minerals processing industry Effective leadership capability, coaching and mentoring skills Bachelor or Masters of Structural Engineering.
