About the Role: As Project Engineer for Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), you will plan, develop, coordinate and review engineering work for non-process infrastructure facilities on medium to large size studies/projects. You will: Apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering. Direct and coordinate engineering activities for the NPI including supervision of engineers of all disciplines. Prepare discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manage implementation and performance accordingly. Review and approve key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries, including field and design documents relating to non-process infrastructure. Coordinate assigned engineering work with other project groups. Supervise the day-to-day technical work and provide technical direction to engineering supervisors, engineers, scientists, specialists, designers and drafters. Perform other duties as required. What You Bring: Degree in engineering, or a professional license in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline, from a recognized licensing board, or specialized courses in relevant general engineering or science or an appropriate engineering discipline. Broad progressive work experience in design engineering, science or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large scale mining facilities, non-process infrastructure, mineral processing facilities, industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/construction firms. Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline. Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods. Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved. Knowledge of industry /regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria pertinent to the particular discipline. Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project. Demonstrated skill in leadership and supervision.
