Data Administrator We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a talented Geoscience Data Administrator to join our prestigious Geophysics team at Orica. As a Geoscience Data Administrator, you will be a vital contributor to our team, specializing in geoscience data management. Your role will involve supporting data acquisition, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), storage, and management of geoscience datasets. Your expertise will ensure that our customers derive maximum value from Orica products. At Orica, we value innovation and collaboration. What you will be doing Acquire geoscience datasets from various sources, including field surveys, sensors, and external databases; Develop and implement efficient processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) into the data management program; Establish and execute QA/QC procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of geoscience data; Collaborate with geoscientists and other stakeholders to validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies; Design and implement a robust data storage infrastructure that aligns with industry best practices and compliance standards; Manage data repositories and ensure proper organization and indexing for easy retrieval; Develop and maintain metadata standards for geoscience datasets; Establish and enforce data management policies, procedures, and best practices; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and optimize data workflows; Administer the data management program, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability; Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data storage and access. What you will bring Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as geoscience, data science, or information management; Proven experience as a Data Administrator or similar role, preferably in the mining or geoscience industry; Strong understanding of geoscience data types, formats, and industry-specific challenges; Proficiency in data management programs and tools, with experience in system administration; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail; Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the mining industry.
