Who are we PFM is recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Minor Capital Delivery team on the Melbourne Water contract. The role is Melbourne based however the projects you will manage will be in one of our 3 x districts, either western suburbs, south eastern suburbs or north eastern suburbs. The Role Supports: Delivery of projects through the Asset Acquisition Process Assisting in the coordination of scoping, design, construction, commissioning, handover, and the close out of projects Planning, allocating and co-ordinating tasks according to an approved program of work Review of specifications and tender documents, analyses tenders, and makes recommendations for acceptance Ensuring activities delivered are in accordance with Business’ Project Management Procedures and HSEQ standards Liaising with representatives from other business units, regions, external organisations, consultants, customers and the general public in relation to the delivery of projects. Providing technical assistance on projects by working with design consultants, contractors and suppliers in the delivery of works Key Responsibilities: Assessing and approving progress claims for payment and ensure contractor performance reports on time, cost, HSE, quality and environment are completed Inspecting and coordinating individual works and/or contracts and preparing reports for more senior management Reviewing and monitoring the implementation of HSEQ management plans, onsite construction Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA) documentation, Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and ensure compliance with the Construction Environment Management Framework (CEMF) and environmental approval conditions for the project Undertaking HSEQ audits on projects. Regularly inspecting sites and correcting all hazards raised from site inspections including safety and environmental hazards and quality non-conformances Complies with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy and ethical standards.
