The Allocator position is pivotal in supporting the success of the International Designer category at David Jones. Providing support to our Merchandise team you will be responsible for managing the allocation of stock into our stores and providing insights into stock performance. We are looking for someone who has an analytical mindset, is highly organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. With a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit a passionate customer focused Allocator who thrives in a high paced and commercially evolving environment. What does the role involve? Manage the allocation of stock to David Jones stores Monitor product performance and provide recommendations on the reallocation of underperforming stock Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner’s to ensure that capacity/space planning is factored into all key decisions Communicate with stores to ensure they are notified of allocation decisions impacting their stores Conduct weekly and quarterly reporting What are we looking for? Experience in a similar Allocator role for a large retailer Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel including V-lookups Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy A self-starter who loves collaborating with others but can also work autonomously Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal Why work for us?
