Corporate Accounting Lead Our client (based Melbourne CBD) is a large global FINTECH with multiple offices across Australian and New Zealand. You will lead the reporting function and will be both "hands on" and be part of strategy and operations up until the end of June 2024 however this role may lead to other opportunities across the business as business has major growth. The role provides the technical skills and expertise to deliver the financial accounting and reporting obligations. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Accounting team and be involved in a range of end-to-end accounting You will have Oracle end to end reporting experience ideally be agile and passionate with automation initiatives as constantly improving. In summary, the role will vary with peaks and flows and as follows of main duties: - · Financial reporting preparation - end to end statutory reporting . tasks across the Group including but not limited to financial audits, consolidations, indirect taxes (e.g., BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax), analysis and reconciliations. · Provide & be the "go to person" for technical accounting support across the wider business. · Coordinate and manager internal and external audits with Senior management as well as external audit relationships. · Responsible for reporting submissions, surveys to APRA other bodies · Liaise with Tax team to support external financial reporting. · Be involved with ad hoc projects too. Skills and Experience You will be a qualified & experienced CPA/CA and qualified Financial Accountant with 7 years plus experience. Desirable to big 4 accounting background. As a large highly matrixed and global organization you will provide the ability to develop relationships and partnerships (internal and external) at all levels of organisation, exhibiting strong leadership and influencing skills, and lead change management initiatives. Benefits 5-month contract which may extend. The hourly rate will vary however works out to be $200 - 210K super - 38 hour week only. Paid public holidays. Based in Melbourne CBD, bud flexible with working remote and coming in the office when essential. However, the office has a vibrant and enjoyable working culture.
