The Opportunity We have an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a key enabling role. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead design delivery for our major project through specialist design advice during each phase; delivery, commissioning, energisation, project hand-over and capitalisation. As the Engineering Manager, you will be part of the senior leadership team providing management of the design, technical engineering and specialist engineering teams across the project. Your proven experience will see you ensure engineering standards and designs are aligned to construction practicality, supporting safe and efficient construction and commissioning activities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with associated Health, Safety and Environmental Management plans and all organisational and legislative WHS requirements. About you You will be a highly capable Leader who is adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be flexible and take on challenges with a positive and productive mindset. With exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will build strong partnerships across the organization and build credibility with stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the project. What we expect from you: Tertiary qualifications at degree level in engineering or relevant discipline. Extensive experience in relevant high voltage infrastructure project development and delivery. Experienced High Voltage practitioner with substation and transmission line knowledge and understanding. Leadership experience in leading and managing design and development teams. Expertise in transmission line and substation design including use and or understanding in AS/NZS 7000 (or similar), PLS-Cad, CYMCAP, and CDEGS software, etc. Possess and apply knowledge and understanding in functional design areas such as layout and electrical design, insulation co-ordination, earthing, corona, safety clearances, induction, standing voltages, rating calculations and mechanical forces. Preferred recognition as a Certified Practicing Engineer, Master of Engineering or equivalent industry recognition.
