We're looking for a Lead Interior Designer with strong business development acumen to join our Interior Design team in our GHD Design Brisbane studio. In this role you will be part of a design team working on local, national and international projects. This role will suit someone who is passionate about building relationships and engaging with potential and existing clients. Your responsibilities will include: Key Client Relationship and portfolio growth, responsible to engage with new and existing clients to develop the existing interior design business throughout the South Queensland region. Strengthening the GHD Design brand and leading the existing interior design business to new heights, on sound market analysis and business fundamentals. Leverage GHD Design's extensive network of clients, as well as internal support framework of Market Leaders and Relationship Managers to build on and strengthen new and existing clients. Work within a mature, multidisciplinary studio that includes high performing architecture, urban design, and engineering disciplines. Leverage opportunities to serve clients across a broad spectrum of markets and typologies. Lead internal design review panels. Manage large projects effectively and simultaneously - achieve optimal technical, commercial and client satisfaction results. You will gain substantial national project management and technical leadership exposure, developing a broader perspective on design delivery. Coach and mentor junior members of the team What you will bring to the team: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field. Approximately 15 -20 years' experience within the field of Interior Design or Architecture Strong design, solid technical knowledge, effective project organisation skills and an intelligent client management approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Previous experience demonstrating business development and business growth within the field of Interior Design or Architecture. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards for interior design projects. Experience in managing a portfolio of work. Flexible in approach to challenges Project/Client problem solving focus. Experience leveraging networking and demonstrate a strong ability to influence and negotiate effectively around a range of interests, assist team with technical performance and general team cohesion. Sustainable design leadership: demonstrate ability to lead the development of sustainable design solutions that effectively resolve the briefed requirements. Experience in establishing the ability to review and evaluate designs and proposals. Proposal development: identify client opportunities and write capture plans, craft bid strategy, develop content, finalize and submit proposals and seek client feedback. Interested? Apply now.
