Your New Role Lead a culture of excellence in patient care in the expanded general medicine team, the sub-acute wards (GEM and/or inpatient rehabilitation), and across the social work department. Provide clinical leadership in social work and complex care. Utilise specialised skills and knowledge in relation to patient care, staff development, and stakeholder management. Actively lead and participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research You will be well supported by the Social Work Leaders (Grades 3 and 4), Social Work and Diversity Manager, and the Social Work team. About You You are a qualified Social Worker, (eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers) with relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards its imminent completion - minimum of master’s degree). You have demonstrated hospital experience with exceptional communication skills and experience in leading effective working relationships within interdisciplinary teams You have strong supervisory skills and a passion for fostering staff development You have an understanding of wider organisational and public health policy influences on public hospital services You value working with supportive and dedicated health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
