About Us Our client is well-known food MFG company in the Australian food industry for many years. They are currently looking for a Automation Engineer with expertise in food MFG sector to join their team in Adelaide. About the role: Design, develop, and test automated systems, equipment, and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Write and maintain code for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation components. Design control systems that regulate various processes and equipment in manufacturing and industrial settings. Diagnose and resolve issues with automated systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of automation systems, including schematics, code, and configuration files. Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure they function correctly and safely. Installing new equipment, ensuring the safe and precise operation of robotics and automated machines, and implementing necessary modifications and programming. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation enhancements, and implement changes accordingly. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automation equipment to keep it running smoothly. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. 5 years or above of relevant experience in automation engineering or a related field. Experience with automation projects, including design, implementation, and maintenance. Proficiency in programming languages Knowledge of automation software and tools, PLC, SCADA and HMI programming skills (Siemens, Omron, Citect, Wonderware) Ability to work with sensors, actuators, and other control hardware. Understanding of control systems, process control, and instrumentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues in automated systems.
