The Project The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities. With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah. The Opportunity We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer with a can-do attitude to provide on-site engineering support to our fun and hard-working C2 Tunnelling Team. Reporting to the C2 Tunnelling Area Manager, some of the role's key accountabilities include; Coordinating procurement and construction elements for Water Proofing, Lining and Drainage Assisting with the development and implementation of construction methods on site in consultation with the Senior Managers and Superintendents Ensuring Quality requirements are included in project delivery documentation including subcontractor and supplier packages Assisting in preparing accurate monthly reports Developing and monitoring KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget Working with site Supervisors and site teams Actively liaising with subcontractors and suppliers Liaising with project team members About You The successful candidate will have; Either a recognised degree in engineering discipline OR other relevant tertiary qualification (TAFE or similar) Graduate Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) At least 5 years of relevant work experience Manage self and others to deliver work to between $1M and $10M Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC) Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time Be willing to take full responsibility for assigned works and deliver it independently Solid written and verbal communication skills The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
