Engineer IT/OT Infrastructure Date: 21 Dec 2023 Location: Perth, AU 8/6 days only roster | FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland Benefits include income and life insurances, health, banking, car leasing, airline travel, IT discounts Performance, Retention and Profit Share Bonuses 18 Weeks paid Parental Leave for primary caregivers About the role: Join our dynamic Technology Infrastructure team in the role of a full-time IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer, operating on an 8/6 roster at our Port Hedland remote operations centre. Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, integrity, high availability, and efficient operation of the IT/OT Rail Technology Portfolio. About you: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and continuous improvement. Your excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence will be crucial in building strong relationships with cross-functional teams. The ability to remain composed under pressure, coupled with adept problem-solving and analytical skills, is essential. While you thrive in collaborative team environments, you are also comfortable and productive working autonomously. Duties: Monitor the performance and availability of technology systems within the rail network, including communication networks, servers, signalling and control systems, and applications. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality of technology systems. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or disruptions in technology systems, prioritising safety risk mitigation and minimising production downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technology Operations, Rail Engineering, Signals & Communications to identify and implement improvements to technology systems, employing problem resolution and root cause analysis. Install, configure, and maintain Rail Server, Network, Signalling & Digital Radio equipment. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications, to support ongoing operation and maintenance of technology systems. Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in operational technology, preferably in a remote site or industrial setting. Strong technical expertise in a combination of: Communication networks (Cisco / Juniper) Wireless technologies (WiMax) Firewalls Server & storage Digital radio Rail signalling systems Control systems. Current unrestricted WA driver's licence.
