Join us as Sales Development Specialist - Power Protection for the Electrification Business Area. Reporting to the Sales Manager - Power Protection, you will be responsible for developing qualified pipeline within a designated market in accordance with the Australian Power Protection business strategy. Building long term customer relationships and utilizing consultative selling approaches to understand and capture customer's strategic initiatives. Developing intimate application knowledge of ABB's Power Protection portfolio, applying knowledge to position products within segment, leading to increased market awareness and market share. Maintaining collaboration and sales support activities with strategic partners is crucial to your role, commitment to upholding ABB's global partner principals will be core to your daily activities. Identifying and developing sales opportunities within your geographical responsibility supporting profitable growth. This position will be based in Australia. Your responsibilities Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution Understanding segment / channel / customer needs in the market. Collaborating with internal teams and channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction Supporting power protection channel partner accounts and ensure their achievement with a structured follow up process. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process Preparing sales plans using company tools in accordance with set geographical and account strategies. Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls Supporting growth of the top line in each market and find and creates new business opportunities. Driving evaluation of potential new and existing markets and their needs and ensures proactive sales approach with a focus on solutions Managing administrative procedures in sales, processes, and supports collection and project management activities when needed Communicating key technical details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (technical compliance & deviations, manufacture & delivery time). Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Creating added value for channel partners and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration Your background Experience in critical power, secure power, power protection with a minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales and business development Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills Extensive network with strong relationships with customer channels and in particular, with 3rd party influencing parties e.g. End Users, Consultants, and Builders / Developers within the critical power industry.
