The Project The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities. With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah. The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics & Warehouse Manager with demonstrated leadership abilities to join our Mechanical & Electrical department. The responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to; Develop warehouse procedures to ensure the highest of standards Provide direction, leadership and resources to ensure that an effective team operation is established and that morale is maintained at a high level Logical storage planning to promote easy access and high standards of housekeeping Control and manage inventory Ensuring materials preservation is routinely performed in accordance with the suppliers' requirements and recorded Supervise warehouse employees and oversee daily operations Co-ordinate and arrange for delivery of equipment to site in accordance with program About You The successful candidate will have: Minimum 7 years Logistics and Warehouse experience at a supervisory level within construction / mining Knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility and Australian Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) High problem solving and conflict management skills Current forklift licence (LF) - highly regarded Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Warehouse Management Software Experience working on major/large projects This position requires a self-starter, team player and someone who thrives on a fast paced and varied role. Your technical ability will be supported by your excellent work ethic, commitment to safety and proven ability to build strong working relationships. The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
