Role description: Due to continued growth across our urban development and regeneration business, we are looking for Civil Engineers to join our Brisbane team to deliver major greenfield and brownfield land development projects with a focus on industrial and public infrastructure projects. There is strong potential for this role to grow into a project management and/or design management position over time. Role accountabilities: Your role will predominantly include: Technical civil engineering design and reporting including: Site feasibility studies and preparation of preliminary civil design and construction cost estimates for prospective land development sites; Civil Engineering Services Reports (ESRs) for prospective land development sites; Site Based Stormwater Management Plans including WSUD, hydrological modelling, stormwater attenuation and drainage design, hydraulic/flood modelling and stormwater quality assessments; Water and Sewer Network Design; Safety in Design; Detailed design including earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, sewer and water. Design management for the production of technical design documentation and AutoCAD, 12D (or Civil 3D) and DRAINS modelling; Delivery of high-quality design documentation in accordance with the program, budget, specifications and to the approved standards and requirements; Assist team leaders and project managers with the writing of consultancy fee proposals; Developing and maintaining professional relationships with Project Managers, Designers, and Drafters within other disciplines; Make valuable contributions to our projects through innovation and technical solutions whilst developing and maintaining relationships with clients; and Providing technical advice to project team members whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your role may also include: Masterplanning of new broad-hectare developments; and Construction Phase Services including production of Bill of Quantities, tender and construction documents, construction supervision, site inspections, site meetings and contract administration; Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil); 3-5 years civil engineering experience gained across urban development projects working in Australia; exposure to large-scale land development projects will be advantageous; AutoCAD or 12D experience is required. DRAINS or equivalent stormwater modelling software experience is advantageous; Possess strong communication and report writing skills; and Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how will propel you in sustaining a successful role and contributing in Arcadis' success.
