About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with good communication, leadership and client interfacing skills, with demonstrated experience in delivery of bulk materials reclaimers / balanced machines packages in a brownfields environment, either as part of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or EPCM / EPC organisation. With a strong pipeline of projects ranging from front end development studies to full EPCM project execution now is truly the right time to join this innovative multi-discipline team and play a key role in driving success. You will be responsible for: Reviewing offers from OEMs and completing technical evaluation of machines package offers against the package including specifications, scope of work and the other package requirements. Reviewing vendor technical documentation submissions for compliance. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager and interfacing with, and providing support to the Machines Project Engineer, other on and offboard engineering disciplines, Procurement and the Construction team, and external customers. Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing work within the mechanical discipline on the project. Supervising day-to-day the technical work of the mechanical engineers and designers within the team. Expediting the supply of deliverables from an OEM and the review and return of those deliverables. Providing expert advice and guidance to the offboard engineering team with respect to bulk materials handling machine requirements and interfacing. Other duties as required. What You Bring: Degree qualified, preferably Mechanical Previous experience on EPCM projects within mining and metals is preferred. Industry experience and with bulk materials handling experience essential, including experience with mechanical discipline aspects of rail-mounted stockyard machines preferred. Front end engineering and planning experience preferred. Able to work as part of integrated engineering team comprising the other engineering disciplines / multi-functional (procurement, construction, start-up) and transglobal teams. Language skills in Mandarin written/verbal/technical would be beneficial but not essential. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
