About the role This Department stands as a guardian against global threats, working to advance our national interests. Operating under the directives of the Australian Government, The Department specialises in foreign signals intelligence, cyber security, and offensive cyber operations. The Department is currently seeking a Machine Learning Platform Engineer tasked with the responsibility of constructing and sustaining The Departments Machine Learning Operations Platform (MLOps). This role is ideally suited for candidates with robust expertise in Software Engineering or Data Engineering, coupled with exposure to modern Machine Learning practices and technologies. Primary Responsibilities: Contributing to the design, development, deployment and maintenance of Department's MLOps platforms and infrastructure Contributing to the design, development and integration of secure, robust and performant production ML systems Providing guidance to MLOps engineers, software developers and data scientists on our MLOps processes, platforms and systems Developing new and improving existing DevSecOps and MLOps pipelines Qualifications/Experience Machine Learning, software engineering, or DevOps Machine Learning production platforms in large organisations MLOps tooling such as MLFlow, KubeFlow, Seldon, Kserve, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms Data engineering and data wrangling Software engineering principles and best practices Problem-solving and troubleshooting Talented, committed, can-do individuals have always been the cornerstone of this dynamic business.
