ABOUT THE ROLE Provide technical leadership and mentoring to establish the standards for DevOps practice across ABC Digital Product, helping to create repeatable processes, reusable deployment systems and robust services for the ABC's Online Services across a variety of platforms including web and mobile. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead and develop a team of 7 engineers in a matrix structure, embedded in Digital Product teams. Design and provisioning continuous integration and continuous deployment services for the development of digital products and services. Work closely with engineering management to establish, document and promote DevOps standards including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, continuous deployment pipelines. Collaborate with product engineering teams including DevOps Engineers and Developers to advocate for continuous improvement to services including coverage of monitoring and performance metrics to ensure continued ability to deliver ABC services to our audience. Lead the automation of Digital Products Platforms including the deployment of cloud-based infrastructure, testing and code deployment. Work with the Product Engineering team to identify opportunities for the DevOps team to improve efficiency and support product strategy through adoption of automated processes. Collaborate with peers in Site Relibaility Engineering (SRE) and Platform Operations (Ops) to continuously improve the ABC's DevOps practice and continuously improve reliability and quality. Maintain detailed technical knowledge of digital systems and services, including an understanding of business usage. Lead the development and maintenance of technical standards and support documentation.
