About the role The Mental Health Services team perform a critical role in providing recovery oriented and trauma informed assessment and treatment utilising natural and existing community supports. The Mental Health Clinician will proactively work with people with mental illness or severe psychological distress, as well as their families, carers and loved ones utilising individual biological, psychological and social interventions based on a person's expressed needs and goals. Position overview Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight), On-going position ADO entitlement monthly Warrnambool Campus Social Worker Grade 2 Salary Range: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 per annum, plus superannuation This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV). What you bring The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model. A working knowledge of Recovery Oriented practices, trauma informed care, current mental health trends, legislation and relevant policy directions of mental health services is also essential for this role. Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously and within a team, as well as an ability to work with limited direction, be self-motivated, and provide effective problem-solving and negotiation skills is a must. You will also be a Social Worker with a degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
