Apply Now Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF) is an independent, public, charitable foundation whose mission is to be the leading philanthropic organisation in the Northern Rivers NSW, connecting donors with local causes that support local communities. NRCF has delivered funding to hundreds and hundreds of grassroots, community-based projects and charities across the seven shires of the Northern Rivers, from Tweed to Grafton; empowering communities to find their own solutions to social and environmental issues they face. NRCF work with donors, foundations, and community organisations, peak bodies and local government, to address social issues and pursue positive changes that help build healthy and resilient communities. NRCF was established in 2003 and currently has over 20 Sub Funds and $2.5 million under management. They have delivered nearly $10m in community grants. The objective of the role is to support NRCF to continue to build a strong and vibrant donor community, and engage donors and partners in helping to contribute to a more compassionate, generous and equitable Northern Rivers through giving, investing and grant making. The role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with Marketing & Communications contractors, the graphic design contractor, the Community Impact Manager, and the Finance & Admin Officer. Responsibilities: Identify new fund development opportunities – strategic partnerships, sponsorships, grants, fundraising and donor engagement. Develop and implement donor engagement strategies. Actively grow the donor and funding base through donor acquisition, engagement and retention. Manage the development and growth of Sub Funds with their donors and stakeholders, ensuring that donors’ interests are aligned with NRCF Sub Funds and Grant Programs. Oversee and manage the development of donor engagement through events, with the contracted Event Coordinator and volunteers. Support development and implementation of marketing and PR strategies, and oversee the Marketing & Design contractors in the design and delivery of fundraising campaigns and ensure monitoring of performance. Oversee donor communications to represent the values and purpose of NRCF to donors and stakeholders. Coordinate the representation of the Foundation at internal and external events including conferences and exhibitions promoting their work to the public. Requirements: Proven experience of working within the philanthropic sector and developing key relationships. Experience of developing and growing a donor, funding or member base. Exceptional relationship building with individuals and business at all levels and across various sectors. Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload. Be team focused and work collaboratively to achieve targets. Exceptional communication and people skills. Detail orientated with excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines. Experience of using CRMs, Digital Marketing applications (e.g. Mailchimp), Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up new systems and processes. Knowledge and experience of managing website content using website builders e.g WordPress. Ability to travel and attend after hours functions/events when required. Are you interested?
