About the role As a member of the Refrigeration Finance team, you will support the accounting and reporting process, consolidate financial results and work closely with our offshore accounting team. You will be self-directed and able to work independently, experienced using the Microsoft Suite of office tools, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and be a willing and enthusiastic team player. Key Responsibilities: Manage monthly closing process ensuring accuracy and timely submissions of deliverables including financial results and preparing financial reports for both internal management and Carrier Transicold Asia headquarters Review business unit financial results submissions and analytical deliverables, and work with the business units to resolve any issues Perform balance sheet reviews for the business and ensure quality account reconciliation Ensure the compliance with Carrier policy, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Coordinate the annual Sarbanes Oxley testing and certification for the team Work with our financial systems team to support changes to our financial reporting system (HFM) or ERP system and coordinate with the Refrigeration business units to ensure the updates are implemented properly Ownership of local statutory financial statement and support external and internal auditors to ensure the completion of audits Support automation and process improvement initiatives to sustain Controllership strategic objectives. Establish and maintain strong collaboration and communication with Carrier Business Services (CBS) and Accenture Chennai to ensure accounting and internal controls executed by CBS and Accenture Chennai to meet internal control and accounting requirements Perform special projects, as required Requirements: Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualifications, are essential for this role Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting Demonstrated experience in finance, internal control and compliance related areas Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements and be the ability to apply them to a variety of circumstances Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and BAAN systems a plus Strong interpersonal and functional skill sets required, including excellent communication and presentation skills High attention to detail A positive and proactive attitude and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment Proactive and self-initiating work style Advanced analytical skills A hands-on leader who is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to achieve the right outcomes Experience working in matrixed environments Experience working in international and operationally complex businesses Benefits We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary.
