Honey Bird is a uniquely designed service managed by KU on behalf of the Commonwealth Bank. The service was purpose built and is only 4 years old. Only a short walk from Redfern train station, the service is currently exploring the concept of studios for the 2-5 year old rooms in the service, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new ways of envisaging environments in early childhood settings. Our service is fully air-conditioned indoors and has two spacious outdoor playgrounds for children to explore. Due to popular demand at the service, there will be expansion of room capacities in 2024 We are looking for a permanent, full time Service Director to innovate, inspire, motivate and lead a dedicated team. You will bring your sound pedagogical knowledge, experience of developing and maintaining relationships with children and families, rostering, mentoring, daily routines, policy implementation whilst building a harmonious working environment. This role is a non teaching load director however we believe the director should be visible within the rooms providing mentoring and building relations with children and families, ensuring a high quality service delivery. You will have the full time support of a dedicated and exceedingly experienced service administrator as well as the Education and Quality team, education support manager, learning and development facilitator and wider support services available across the organisation. This is a permanent, full time position working 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Of course, you will need: Australian working rights At least 3 years of previous directing experience A current NSW Working with Children Check An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates NESA Teacher Accreditation Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) How to apply: Please submit your updated Cover Letter and CV via the 'APPLY NOW' button.
