About the Role: As a Software Engineer in our P1C Application Development team, you will work on software development and day-to-day tasks related to card processing technology. This includes developing software applications, writing technical specifications, collaborating with business analysts and other teams, and providing support to clients globally. This role allows for working from home, with preferred locations in Melbourne or Sydney, but can be elsewhere in Australia. What You Will Be Doing: Designing, coding, and testing application changes Providing support during UAT and assisting with software upgrades Collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to discuss functional and technical solutions What You Will Need: Strong previous experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and card processing technology (such as P1C or Base 2000) Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations, and operations Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience What We Offer You: A career at FIS is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of fintech.
