We are looking for a Project Coordinator to provide support and oversight for Facilities projects for a well-established institution. 3 months contract role with possible extension. Hourly pay rate up to $69/hour Super. Work location: Canberra. Will need to travel between campuses within Canberra. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: You will work collaboratively with the Project Manager to deliver capital works, and remediation works and develop governance processes. The Project Coordinator will also work closely with the Operations Manager to provide support and oversight for Facilities projects delivered at the local level. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Contribute to the coordination and management of a range of, concurrently delivered, building, grounds, and plant equipment upgrades and projects. Liaise with the Campus Managers on projects delivered on the respective campuses. Prepare project documentation and coordinate a range of goods and services. Support the Facilities Leadership Team in the timely preparation of draft business cases, procurement processes, and reports. Develop strategic and operational procurement plans and procurement documentation. Demonstrated high-level communication and negotiation skills to support ongoing communication with a range of stakeholders. Support the maintenance of the Strategic Asset Maintenance Plan, Asset Register, and Photo Library. Contribute to the annual review of policies to ensure they are current and fit for purpose and contribute to the maintenance and development of operational procedures and practices. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Qualifications and/or extensive experience in project management of facilities-related functions/projects – Highly desirable. Qualifications and/or extensive experience in procurement and contract management, preferably within the ACT Government or Commonwealth Government – Highly desirable. Experience in facilities management in an educational institution – Desirable. Drivers license – Highly desirable. Qualifications in a building and construction or building design field – Desirable. Extensive customer service experience with a strong focus on customer-centric practices. Demonstrated skills and experience in procurement and project management. Demonstrated experience in drafting a range of operational documents and forms, including drafting statement of requirements and procurement paperwork.
