Sourcing a Safety Technical Administrator who will be responsible for product safety, with the principle focus of compiling and maintaining our safety data sheets and standardise them to remain consistent with current legislation. The successful person can be based in our Technical Team at Kilsyth in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne or anywhere in Australia working hybrid. This role is initially a 6 month Fixed Term Contract - Fulltime with the opportunity of growth into a permanent position in mid 2024. A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) communicates all hazards of a chemical product and recommends measures for ensuring the safety and welfare of people and the environment throughout the product’s life cycle. The breadth of this objective may not be immediately apparent; but consider the types of information that must be included in an SDS to better understand the range of knowledge required to competently author an SDS. Your duties will include: Formatting of safety data sheets; Implementation and maintenance of product safety standards; Liaising with all levels of management and staff on product safety matters; Conduct regular meetings with research and development staff to collaborate and share information on current legislation and compliance; Compile and maintain relevant records to ensure compliance. To successfully perform this role you will require: Bachelor Degree in Chemistry with at least 3 years in a similar role; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications; Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
