This is a FIFO role from Perth, Western Australia to Karratha, Western Australia on a 3 weeks on / 1 week off roster. About the Project: Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. About the Role: As Electrical Field Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for construction and installation activities. Your responsibilities will include: performing inspections and initiating supporting documentation for all discipline system installations. providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for workforce, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolution. preparing short- and long-term schedules. executing field material takeoffs from "Issued For Construction" drawings providing input to the quantity tracking applications and reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project Controls preparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveries participate in constructability reviews and development of build plans. preparing and managing installation work packages. other duties as required. What You Bring: Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university as well as a minimum of six years relevant work experience, or 12 years relevant experience in the absence of a degree. experience in construction and technical inspection of electrical/design in areas such as installation and testing of electrical systems, lighting systems, high voltage equipment, grounding, DCS systems and cable pulling activities. computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. familiar with current industry quality standards. basic knowledge of work packaging heavy industrial direct hire construction experience knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required. Additional Information: This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.). The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
