Specialist Electrical Engineer Date: 12 Dec 2023 Location: Perth, AU Monday to Friday | Perth Performance, Retention and Profit Share Bonuses Free onsite parking at the Remote Operational Centre (ROC) 18 Weeks paid Parental Leave for primary caregivers About the role: The Asset Management team is currently seeking a Specialist Electrical Engineer to join them on a 5:2 roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Manager Electrical Engineering, you will be responsible for providing Specialist Electrical engineering support for Roy Hill Operational teams and support continuous improvement of production systems across the business while acting as owner's rep in performing technical governance and Stewardship for critical project deliverables. Duties: Provide electrical engineering expertise to support site based engineers, planners and maintenance teams to ensure the safety and integrity of electrical systems across the business Manage the Roy Hill electrical network model and manage change to the network including protection schemes. Identify technical opportunities and economic justification for improvements and communicate those to the required parties. Manage the delivery of capital operational improvement projects to deliver the required Roy Hill business outcomes Conduct investigations into electrical systems failures and implement improvement measures to mitigate vulnerability Support ongoing improvements to the electrical, instrumentation and control systems layer to ensure reliability of operational performance and reporting of the KPl's. Implement and control change management processes incorporating communication feedback to Demand Chain Execution team for HV Distribution, HV and LV Motor Control Centres and VSD Parameters Skills and Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent, recognized by Engineers Australia Extensive experience in the resources sector, working in a similar role within an operational team Experience with working in Engineering consulting or Project Engineer roles Experience in the use of SCADA, PLC, HMI and other plant control systems Perth ROC Facilities: Free on-site parking at remote operational centre (ROC) Modern spacious office with break-out facilities In-house café providing variety of hot & cold food options and barista coffee Flexi Leave available to all Perth based office staff Flexible working hours outside of core business hours Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family About the Company: Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
