The Position: Client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team, contributing to structural integrity management, design, and analysis in sectors such as oil & gas, future energy, and maritime structures. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and other stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services. Key Responsibilities: Structural Engineering and Analysis: Deliver structural engineering design and assessment in line with industry standards and best practices. Participate in studies and perform structural calculations, design verifications, and weight engineering studies. Review and interpret engineering and inspection reports, workpacks, and drawings related to structural integrity. Project Management and Collaboration: Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, and global subject matter experts to maintain the company’s reputation for high-quality services. Contribute to bids, proposals, and client meetings, ensuring project deliverables are achieved on time and according to specifications. Liaise with fabrication yards, review subcontractor/vendor documentation, and manage project-specific requirements. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Support and lead diverse projects, including offshore, nearshore and onshore infrastructure, modular building, and subsea structures. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and serve as the subject matter expert. Contribute to the development of in-house engineering tools to expand the boundaries of possibility for structural analysis and design Skills and Experience: Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with an MSc being advantageous. Professional engineering certification, such as Chartered Engineer or RPEQ, is preferred. Experience: Significant experience in structural engineering within relevant sectors (Oil and Gas, Renewables, Maritime, etc.). Proficient in structural engineering software such as SESAM , SpaceGass , StaadPro , Strand 7 , or similar FEA software . Experience in structural steel design, installation methods and an understanding of the complex structural loads applicable to the offshore and subsea environment. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
