Start your dream career with Dematic today THE OPPORTUNITY This is an exciting time to join Dematic in Melbourne as a Quality Engineer , supporting key projects with automated solutions for warehousing and distribution centres. This fast paced and influential role, responsible for project site, supplier specific support and quality compliance is ideally suited to a skilled Engineer or Project Manager with expertise encompassing: Project Management Multiple project management with numerous aspects of works and tight timelines Quality systems implementation according to ISO9001 standards Metrology Product measuring and quality drawings Risk management principles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Drive & support project execution team on: Quality Planning : Develop end to end Project Quality Plans, aligning company standards & requirements with quality objectives, criteria, and processes Collaborate with project teams, identifying potential quality risks & opportunities; developing mitigation strategies Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections, testing, and verification activities Log non-conformities & effectively implementing RCA & CAPA Design documentation reviews, identifying and addressing potential quality issues Champion procurement prequalification quality processes (PPAP, FAT, audits) supporting supplier/service provider selections Quality Monitoring : Coordinate site quality inspections with project & service providers Conduct site inspections ensuring installations meet design and quality specifications Organise & complete supplier products, subcontractors, QMS & company project process audits Generate regular reports on project quality performance Improvement, Documentation, Development : Analyse cost of quality RCA, non-conformances to detail & develop improvement plans & communications Plan & conduct trainings for project teams, suppliers & subcontractors Develop or improvement on QMS policies, procedures, guidelines . Tasks and Qualifications: ABOUT YOU Successful candidates will possess the following: 5 years minimum experience in a similar Quality role Degree in Engineering or related field (e.g. Manufacturing, Technology, Science or Trades) Background in projects, manufacturing and/or construction industries (highly regarded) Comprehensive working knowledge & experiences with suppliers & subcontractors in Quality practices Extensive expertise in quality issues investigations & root cause methodologies Knowledge in Continuous Improvement techniques and tools Demonstrated strong application and promotion of Risk management principles Excellent communication skills High attention to detail, proactive and organised Advanced skills with MS Applications (e.g. Excel, Projects, Power Apps,  Power Bi) Willingness to travel when required across ANZ Cert 4 in Training and Assessment (highly regarded) Work Health and Safety experience (highly regarded) WHY BRING YOUR CAREER TO DEMATIC This is an exciting time to join Dematic.
