About the Role WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our client Rio Tinto at Brockman 4. This role will be working a FIFO 5:2 4:3 day shift roster. The successful candidate will optimise asset performance by bringing together multi-disciplinary teams, technologies, systems and standards with a primary focus on developing and optimising asset strategy and tactics. Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to all Rio Tinto health and safety standards, policies and procedures and report any safety hazards and risks to the appropriate channels Provide tactics support to maintenance execution of physical assets, including assisting in planning, prioritisation and improvement processes. Mandatory site approver for locally governed changes to strategies and tactics Develop and optimise strategies and tactics using formal risk based processed Provide technical support for PM01 and PM02 and assist with scope development and execution Maintains site Asset Criticality Assessment (ACA) register depending on FP/MEM asset Review data for handover of new assets Site process champion for Defect Elimination (DE) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and systemic failure Leads detailed investigation processes and supports basic reviews of unplanned failure Leads the monthly DE Management Operating System (MOS) Analyse maintenance and performance data to improve reliability, performance, cost and support project justification Conducts technical and data based analysis to manage processes including Risk Management, Asset Health, Operate for Reliability, Design for Reliability, RAMBO, Life Cycle Cost, Modelling Project manages minor capital and opex projects (i.e., projects not requiring detailed planning and execution support from Project Engineers) aimed at reliability improvement for defects identified by DE processes by Reliability Engineers Systemising and sustaining change of reliability focused initiatives Ensure critical spares are identified and established for new assets or asset upgrades as well as changes required to critical spares associated with maintenance strategy changes to assets. Engage with central teams/ OEM stakeholders acting as conduit for the sites Contribute to development of whole-of-life asset plans and support implementation Skills and Experience 5 years of experience in engineering maintenance roles Experience working in a fixed plant and / or MEM environment preferred Ability to work collaboratively in small teams or independently and demonstrate adaptability Experience in Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis Experience in delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects Demonstrate understanding of budget preparation, asset criticality, cost drivers, asset risk, asset performance and asset life cycles Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMS; Lean Six Sigma methodology experience or Black Belt Certification A Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline or other relevant technical field experience RioTintoProfessional Reference Number 7469J20234458 How to Apply Click onto the 'Apply' button or for more information, please contact WorkPac Principal Consultant - Racquel Clibbens on (02) 4927 7795 or racquel.clibbensworkpac.com and quote the above reference number.
