Role Details: Gold Fields - Granny Smith is currently seeking an Engineer: Planning to join their Technical Services department. Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Planning, you will be part of a team responsible for safe and efficient production from the underground mining operations. You will be responsible for the planning functions of the underground operations to meet all safety, production and cost targets driven by the short and medium-term plan; and aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the business. This role is offered on 8 days on and 6 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth. About the role: Prepare stope designs, level plan layouts and mining instructions as required to meet the operational mining schedule. Ensure mine plans are completed considering ventilation, infrastructure and pastefill requirements. Prepare underground design optimisations, sensitivities, and reports. Develop infrastructure plans and schedules with due consideration to mining interactions and budget requirements. Guide and communicate planning guidance to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development. Assist with project collaboration and coordination across multiple departments including alignment with site plan and schedule. Ensure business success by developing and implementing mine planning systems to ensure safe and economic target delivery. About you: Completed Tertiary Qualifications in a Mining Engineering or related discipline. WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or ability to obtain one. Demonstrate strong underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably in gold operations. Proficiency in Microsoft office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim. Current Driver's License.
