PRIMARY DETAIL Vibrant University campus in North Ryde Attractive hourly rates Close to Macquarie University Metro Station and bus links THE ROLE To be successful in the role you will need: Degree in accounting, finance, or related fields of study. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience as a qualified accountant. Exceptionally organised, methodical and have a high level of attention to detail. Self-starter, ability to learn quickly, resourceful and have a desire to present solutions. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to present information in a clear, concise and supported manner, making it easy for the recipient in make decisions and take actions. Experience in treasury activities including liquidity modelling, investments, debt facilities, liaison with financing institutions, governance and reporting would be highly regarded. Familiarity with legal contracts and how to interpret them is desirable, but not essential. Experience in tax compliance would be favourable but not essential. Proficient Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and Word). Experience in using accounting software. Reporting to the Head of Tax and Treasury you will, for all entities in the Group: Investment & Debt Liquidity modelling: preparation of medium-term models, including recommendations for debt tranche drawdowns including quantum and duration. Debt drawdowns: execute agreed debt facility decisions. Profit & Loss: preparation of monthly treasury profit & loss report together with comparison to budget. Executive reporting: preparation of monthly report with liquidity modelling, debt drawdown recommendations and the profit & loss report. Treasury Registers: update treasury registers for all relevant activities. Short-term cashflows: review cashflows to identify any significant concerns and make funding recommendations. Committee and Board Reporting: preparation of Debt and Investment reports. Intra-Group funding: manage Central Treasury Agreements across the Group. Execute agreed intercompany support payments and contributions. Term Deposits: execute term deposit renewals. Financing payments: manage timely payments of all treasury charges. Banking Management Manage bank guarantees. Bank Meeting: Manage NAB quarterly meetings, including drafting an agenda and taking minutes. External Reporting Preparation of relevant material for statutory accounts, external auditors, and any other external reporting body. Taxation Compliance Review and post GST & FBT journals. Review and submit GST balance sheet reconciliations. Arrange for inter-company GST payments. Collate raw data for FBT returns. General Work with and support Group Finance Graduate on rotation in the Tax & Treasury Team. Procedures: update and maintain all relevant procedures. Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification. RATES OF PAY The role of Senior Accountant (HEW Level 8) will be paid the appropriate rate dependent on qualifications and experience set out in Schedule 2: Casual Professional hourly rates of pay of the Professional Staff Enterprise Agreement.
