Make great projects work Calibre has an opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join a friendly and supportive team at our Perth CBD Office. As a Geotechnical Engineer at Calibre, you will join a multidisciplinary team of Engineers and Designers working across a diverse range of Mine and Port sustaining capital projects. The portfolio of projects includes multidiscipline engineering and design projects for new and upgraded process and non-process facilities, with the group specializing in Iron Ore plant and support facilities. The variety of project work will provide exposure to different types of commodities, assets, equipment, and unique technical challenges. The initial responsibilities of this role will include key accountabilities such as: Undertake geotechnical engineering design and analysis on infrastructure projects. Work on and design geotechnical projects from initial proposals to fieldwork, and ensure comprehensive analysis and reporting through the full project lifecycle. Apply your investigation and geotechnical design expertise to enhance the geotechnical aspects of multidisciplinary projects. Support project planning and manage deliverables of technical complexity. Champion a safety-first environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards. As required, perform ad-hoc site visits. Thrive with us We hope you’ll bring Engineering Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Civil Engineering. 4 years’ experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer within the mining industry. An ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment. Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively internally and externally when interfacing with the client.
