We sell our equipment and services to a multitude of customers within the mining, construction, quarrying and waste-handling industries with quality equipment and dedicated after sales support. The Role HCA now has an exciting opportunity in the Townsville area for an enthusiastic Sales Hunter, to join the sales team in the position of Construction Equipment Sales Representative. This role will have you selling new Hitachi Mini Excavators, Hitachi Construction Excavators, Hitachi Wheel Loaders, and Bell Articulated Dump Trucks, and selling used equipment of various brands and models. Whilst there is an element of existing account management with this role, there will also be a strong emphasis on proactively prospecting for new business, as the successful applicant is expected to grow our market share in this region. Reporting to the QLD Sales Manager you will be responsible for: Managing relationships in an existing network of customers within the territory Actively seeking out sales opportunities for new and used equipment (ie: daily cold calling/prospecting for new business). For this reason, we would also consider applications from those with a telemarketer/telemarketing background that are passionate about moving into a customer-facing sales position, provided they also had reasonable mechanical aptitude. Helping to organise, and attend, trade shows and related networking activities Continually keeping the CRM system up to date to reflect the activities you have performed within your region Meeting market share expectations and other KPI’s provided by Management About You To be successful in this role you will need to be a trustworthy individual with a high moral code. You will be operating from our Townsville branch, but as you will be the only sales rep in the branch, and as you will be required to travel within your region on your own, you will need to be able to work autonomously. You will need to have: A genuine desire to deliver Hitachi’s promise of Total Customer Satisfaction as you develop and maintain positive relationships with your customers. Excellent cold calling/telephone skills (or the willingness to learn) and a strong belief in regular prospecting. For this reason, we would also consider applications from those with a telemarketer/telemarketing background that are passionate about moving into a customer-facing sales position, provided they also had reasonable mechanical aptitude. A high motivational drive to meet and exceed sales targets Experience in operating and maintaining a CRM system, or be able to pick up computer systems rapidly A confident, courteous, professional and ethical sales approach A reasonable mechanical aptitude The willingness to travel (up to 1 night per week) A current Drivers Licence Note that a previous sales background is NOT required. Energy, personality, a strong work ethic, and a desire to move into sales is more important in this instance.
