Your opportunity for a contract role on a major project in Newcastle Our client, one of Australia's true engineering giants, now require an experienced Design Draftsperson to join their already strong team in Mayfield North. Reporting to the Drafting Coordinator this is a contract role with an initial expectation of 6-9 months on a major project worth $85M. This role does have the view to possible extension or permanency. The Role: Provide appropriate and timely feedback to the project engineering team and its members as deemed necessary for project milestone achievements Accountable for delivery of project objectives for structural and mechanical drafting requirements Comply with all applicable regulations and codes relating to engineering design Ensure design deliverables to the appropriate scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements Responsible for reporting to an agreed timeframe, on progress of assigned drafting work, including cost, schedule, quality and risk Provide accurate, timely and effective progress reporting to the business unit and Engineering management Your skills and experience: 3 years relevant experience preferably in a Heavy Industry and/or Manufacturing environment. High level competence in the use of AutoCAD and 3D software. Inventor is essential and Vault very highly regarded. Structural and/or Mechanical drafting experience is required Experience in concrete foundation detailing will be highly regarded. Recognised qualifications in drafting Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to introduce innovations in drafting and design High level attention to detail Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise right across levels of an organisation This is a great opportunity for an experienced Draftsperson to work on a major project in Newcastle.
