The Project With a contract worth $1.63 billion, the Eastern Tunnelling Package includes construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. Starting at The Bays, tunnel boring machines will cross the harbour near the Anzac Bridge, before heading to the new Pyrmont station and then under Darling Harbour before reaching Hunter Street in the heart of the CBD. The role The Design Coordinator supports the design team's delivery of robust and cost-effective designs for works while ensuring that scope, budget and programme are met for the delivery of successful project outcomes. Assist the Design Manager to plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives Coordinate the interaction of project members in the design delivery process, including design, construction, planning and environmental resources Assist with client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team Manage work and performance of subcontractors with design responsibility Work in conjunction with the Design Manager in the development of design budgets and schedules Collate information and report against budgets Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management 3 years' multi-discipline experience in Design on large infrastructure projects Experience Tunnelling experience will be highly regarded.
