As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating synergy between these venues whilst growing their individual identities to deliver exceptional service and maximise performance. As Bar Manager, you will have full responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the bar, the bar team, driving focus on hospitality and overall service of the venue, you will stand in as the venue ambassador and internal advocate for exceptional guest experience. You are responsible for daily operations, staffing, overall performance and efficiency of the bar and beverage program while ensuring consistent quality of beverage. You are the champion of the venue, tasked with mentoring all service teams with a high emphasis on education, constantly improving standards and quality of the bar and beverage service, instilling a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and personal development. You will have support from other team leaders and report directly to senior leadership, primarily the Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) and F&B Operations Manager. Create positive and high quality customer experiences, review feedback and consistently seek to improve Recruitment, on-boarding and development of bar team Training and focus on continually improving service and service offerings Industry leader for product knowledge Oversee all aspects of daily bar service and operation Work alongside bar team to develop world-class cocktails through R&D sessions, innovation and storytelling through cocktails Maintain market awareness by staying abreast of local competition and industry trends, refining offering where appropriate Be the point person when it comes to representing the venue within the global and local bar industry. Liaise with the General Manager, Director of F&B, F&B Operations Manager and Marketing Manager on sales and marketing opportunities - maximising revenue potential for both bars Be responsible for the performance of the bars including forecasting, payroll, profit, cost control and analysis of results Ensure all ordering and management of beverage stock for the bars is on time and that adequate par levels are maintained Conduct regular meetings with Entertainment/Promotion Agencies to coordinate entertainment acts Oversee the performance of all team members and assist with the training of new and existing team members creating a relaxed, friendly and fun environment that is a Great Place to Work Initiate and conduct regular product knowledge sessions for all F&B team members with particular emphasis on up-selling Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of Zeta & Marble Bar ensuring all areas (front and back of house) are hygienic and meet the WHS criteria To be aware of licensing regulations, including RSA, WHS legislation and food handling regulations, fire procedures etc. The Person - Skills, Qualifications & Experience Valid Australian Working Rights Hospitality Management Qualifications are desirable NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Previous Bar leadership at award winning bars experience is preferred Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills Passionate, innovative, and motivated with a high level of attention to detail Previous experience in cocktail creation Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the Hotel
