The Opportunity Your role will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components for all agricultural machinery and earthmoving equipment. Design and develop innovative farm attachment and earthmoving equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Perform testing and validation of mechanical components and systems, analysing test data and making recommendations for design enhancements. Generate clear and effective documentation - manuals, reports, work instruction, drawings, etc. Inspect designed products to ensure specifications and quality requirements are met. Conduct thorough analysis of mechanical systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize performance and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and fabrication to ensure that products are designed and created fit for purpose, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time. Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams, troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions as needed. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements. You Bachelor's degree: Mechanical Engineering or similar / related field. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. Experience in product design and development. Be proficient in CAD – SolidWorks, or similar CAD software (highly desirable) . Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong technical communication skills.
