They are seeking a Senior E & I Engineer on an initial 12 month contract basis. Start Date: ASAP End Date: Initial 12 months Contract, possible extension Hours/day: 8 Hours/week: 40 Pay Rate: $100 - $120/Hr Super Location: Lytton - Port of Brisbane Reporting to the E&I Engineering Superintendent and working within a small team, you will work on various mid-size projects producing the FEED to enable successful implementation and commissioning / Start-up. Your accountabilities will include: Observe and comply with Health, Environment and Safety requirements Carry out assigned tasks, and produce deliverables competently and effectively, within schedule and budget constraints. Plan and manage their own workload. Perform discipline specific engineering tasks such as: perform engineering calculations, analysis and generate actions, develop and review equipment datasheets, detailed designs, drawings, and specifications, and contribute to appropriate studies as required. Perform work in accordance with applicable project requirements, codes and standards. Collaborate and co-ordinate with other engineers, designers and technical personnel in the execution of the project. Assist the Lead Engineer to manage change within the project by advising him / her promptly of anything that varies the project scope, budget or schedule. Assist the Lead Engineer with preparation and updating of cost estimates and project schedule Provide timely and accurate work progress and forecasting data to the lead engineer as requested. Support development of construction execution plans and commissioning execution plans On-site support for construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up relating to instrumentation, actuated valves, control systems, and electrical equipment necessary to achieve safe and timely start-up of plant Able to deal professionally, fairly and ethically with third parties such as vendors and contractors with due regard to commercial and contractual responsibilities. About You: Demonstrated experience in brownfield Oil & Gas or comparative industry, Electrical, Instrument & Control engineering, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience preferred. Experienced with designing to Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000 Hold current RPEQ accreditation Shall have good working knowledge of substation design for voltage levels of 3.3 KV & 415V AC. Familiarity with electrical switchgear operating at these voltages, distribution transformers, UPS, protection relays, auxiliary power supplies, soft starters, and motors. Shall have specific knowledge of Australian hazardous area standards (AS/NZS 60079). Shall be experienced in the specification, testing, certification and operation of instrumentation for installation in hazardous areas oil and gas facilities. Experienced with Hazardous Area Increased Safety and Intrinsically Safe Systems Calculations. Shall be experienced in the specification and purchase of pressure, temperature, level, flow and analytical measurement instrumentation as appropriate for applications in oil and gas facilities. Shall be experienced in the sizing and selection of control valves and the design, specification and testing of shutdown and blowdown valves. Shall be experienced in electrical and automation vendor liaison, bid evaluation and the procurement lifecycle for all instrumentation, valves and control system packages including factory testing and vendor document review Shall have working knowledge of Distributed control systems, emergency shutdown systems and fire and gas systems. Honeywell DCS and Triconex configuration experience preferred. Shall be familiar with all design documentation and their use and be able to originate such documents including block diagrams, hook-up diagrams, termination diagrams, schematics, loops, fire and gas layouts, instrument layouts, cause and effects, philosophies, specifications and datasheets. Shall have a good working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems for actuated valves on oil and gas production facilities. Shall have relevant experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of instruments as part of project completion leading to plant start-up.
