The role Sandvik is looking for a proactive and self-motivated Sales and Business Development Manager to join our dynamic and expanding team in Perth, WA. The main focus of this role will be delivering market growth for the Sandvik range of Surface Drills within WA. This will include all sales and business development activities such as developing strategic sales plans, and an effective sales team to meet the required revenue targets for the Sales Area. This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc. Areas of responsibility Create and execute sales strategies for Surface Drills and grow the Surface Drills business within WA. Support the development of infrastructure necessary to support the Surface Drills fleet. Assist with the development and management of sales budget. Undertake product application process support from initial conceptualization of solution to delivery of operational outcome. Facilitate training and knowledge transfer of Sandvik Surface Drills to Sales, Service, Parts and Logistics personnel while also helping customers identify training requirements. Meet revenue targets through direct personal customer management and the development of a high performance sales team. Manage all resources in the market area to ensure an optimum balance between a high level of customer service satisfaction and attainment of financial objectives. Assess technical issues with all Australia supplied equipment and prepare/submit quotations for rectification. Your profile To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar business development role within the mining industry. You will possess technical sales management experience with a proven track record of closing deals. You will also have a thorough understanding of mining operations in addition to the below: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others to achieve outcomes. Consultative selling style with the ability to promote customer solutions. Ability to assess and manage business risk. Ability to travel within Australia as required. Agencies need not apply.
