In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality 'sales design' and 'detailed design' engineering and estimation deliverables for Commercial Solar and Battery storage solutions. As a subject matter expert in Commercial Solar and Battery Storage, you will participate in tender response delivery, product selection, and offer valuable advice to the business. Your expertise will be pivotal in implementing costing models for a wide range of projects, from residential to commercial, industrial, and small utility projects. Implement costing models (excel or other) for projects within residential to commercial & industrial and small utility projects. Develop a detailed knowledge of Residential and Commercial Solar & Battery products, associated accessories, and third-party accessories that are required for Solar & Battery residential, commercial and small utility scale projects. Supervise and co-ordinate multi-disciplined design and pricing activities in a timely manner with technical accuracy and adequacy to support projects through sales design and detailed design, procurement and construction and post construction activities. Significant involvement and ownership in preparing tender documentation and presentation to our clients in line with internal policy and procedures. Evaluating bid specifications, reviewing plans, and drawings and formulating an overall pricing/scheduling strategy. About you You will possess a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, particularly in the field of solar PV and battery storage. You should excel in providing technical expertise, be adept at project costing and design, and thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Additionally, a proactive mindset, a keen eye for industry standards, and a track record of successful tender responses will set you apart. We are also looking for: Tertiary Qualifications in an electrical or mechanical engineering Proven experience providing cost estimation and supporting documentation for tenders on complex design renewables projects. Experience with Excel pricing models, AutoCAD, PVCAD, Helioscope, PV Syst and other renewables design software Evidence of continuing professional development Experience in a "Design-for-Construction" environment Experience with residential, commercial & small utility Solar PV & BESS products.
