Be will be a key contributor to a positive and joyful community. This temporary, part-time role requires a caring and approachable educator who can encourage, develop, and nurture the growth of students. You will work collaboratively with other staff, demonstrating thorough curriculum knowledge, effective teaching and assessment, and a commitment to the vision and mission of the College. The College caters to over 1000 students from Prep to Year 12, fostering a respectful, joyous, and collaborative learning environment. Major Responsibilities: Identify clear teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed. Set appropriate academic and behavioral expectations. Actively participate in goal setting, peer coaching, and mentoring for improving pedagogy. Promote the general progress and well-being of students. Provide effective feedback to students that promotes growth in their learning. Actively commit to and involve yourself in the co-curricular life of the College. Model a Christian example in all activities and care for the spiritual welfare of students. Work collaboratively with other staff to promote the College's values: courage, curiosity, craftsmanship, collaboration, and compassion. Professional and Personal Attributes: The successful candidate must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents. Essential criteria include: A committed Christian and an active member of a church. Relevant tertiary qualifications to teach Stage 4 - 6 syllabuses and NESA teacher accreditation. Knowledge of current subject area syllabus documents and proven ability to develop contemporary teaching and learning programs. Demonstrated understanding of assessment practices, technology integration, and commitment to student well-being. Well-developed written, oral, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Commitment to ongoing personal professional development. Desirable Criteria: Familiarity with Growth Mindset, Habits of Mind, and Visible Thinking/Cultures of Thinking. Understanding and experience in the use of restorative practices within a student wellbeing framework. Willingness to teach outside their subject area as the need arises in a growing school.
