Events Administrator The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) NFP Member Association Part-Time, 12 Month Contract – (0.6 FTE, 3 days a week) Gordon NSW 2072 – On-site parking available WFH & WFO – Hybrid working About the Organisation The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) is the peak professional body representing Building Surveying practitioners in Australia to support and promote the interests of building surveyors and certifiers in Australia. This includes providing professional development opportunities, advocating for the profession, and offering resources and networking opportunities for its members. About the Role As the Events Administrator, you will assist with the planning and administration efforts of the AIBS events calendar, whilst working across the team and managing relationships with a range of key stakeholders to deliver a successful event. You will deliver event communications, assist with accounting duties as required, and provide support for member service activities, all while delivering exceptional customer service. About the Person The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and a high level of written and verbal communication. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple competing priorities and have outstanding attention to detail. You will be a collaborative team player, eager to learn and have a passion for events with previous experience in an office environment. Duties include but are not limited to: Support and assist in coordinating and organising all events. Liaise with external stakeholders including suppliers, venues, speakers, and presenters. Respond to and process member event registrations and enquiries. Manage event communications i.e., updating website, social media, and email. Manage post-event follow-up and reporting. Respond to enquiries from members via phone and email and provide member admin support. Maintain member data on CRM and support with admin tasks i.e., monitor invoices, process payments etc. To be successful you will have: Demonstrated experience in an office environment and interest in events. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Excellent organisational and coordination skills. Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Eager to learn, high level of initiative and team player.
