Job Description BESIX Watpac have delivered a strong portfolio of diverse projects over our 40-year history, and due to a strong pipeline of projects in Queensland, we are seeking a Design Coordinator to join our team for the delivery of a correctional centre in Woodford. This role is key to ensure project delivery excellence in design leadership. The key responsibilities of this position include: Participate in the management of the design team and the timely delivery of project documentation and attend and participate in design and coordination meetings for both Consultants and Subcontractors. Review project designs for regulatory and building compliance. Review the design for constructability in collaboration with the construction team and trade subcontractors to drive efficiencies during delivery. Review trade package documentation for compliance with Head Contract before tenders are called and progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordination with works to be constructed. Qualifications The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience: Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline – Construction Management / Architecture / Engineering. Prior experience working in the construction industry, particularly with a principal contractor delivering large scale D&C building projects from commencement to completion. Ability to collaborate with external consultants to obtain best for project outcomes. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This role will require travel to the project site.
