A dispensing job with a difference Amazing Salary Package, B2B - not working in a practice undertaking a wide variety of tasks In this role as the Senior Optical Dispenser you will be doing a very different dispensing role than you have done before. You will be working for the BDM of the Safety Products range and you will have the ability to capitalise and actively seek to grow our market share of prescription eyewear products through both new and established distributor and optical retail channels within Australia and New Zealand. Functions of the Senior Optical Dispenser role are building lasting relationships with an already established network of distributors, sourcing and developing new business opportunities. You will be the first point of call for both existing and potential customers when they are seeking information on the products and services specific to prescription safety eyewear. Reporting to the BDM of Safety for ANZ, this role will be based in Melbourne servicing clients throughout Australia and New Zealand. To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified optical dispenser with drive to move up in your career, the sky is the limit with this role. Exposure selling prescription eyewear is imperative. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): • Provide onsite technical assistance with frame and lens selection, • Provide technical support in customer meetings and to the sales and customer service teams when required, • Manage the recruitment of locum dispenses, • Assist with sales and profitability planning and execution of the ANZ prescription product range, • Attend conferences, industry events and other applicable trade shows, • Assist with the development of proposals for clients, • Analyse competitors and evaluate market trends, • Engage field sales team through product range education and prescription market updates, • Assist with increasing market share across existing industrial sales channels as well as optical retail outlets, • Being a positive and proactive member of the APAC Sales management team. Desired skills and experience: Understanding of the prescription safety eyewear A technical understanding of optical dispensing (Cert IV) Understanding of local and international certification standards Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills An attractive salary package, $80K including a fully maintained company vehicle or car allowance, laptop and smartphone is offered, plus a sales incentive scheme.
