We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Engineer to join a dynamic Servers and Storage team. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute hands-on technical expertise to our Level 3 server and storage operations. Key Responsibilities: utilizing infrastructure management tools to assess load and performance statistics. Thorough understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and RDS. Developing new methods and organizational capabilities, including automation, for the management of systems and services. Familiarity with enterprise VMware vSphere environments. Generating reports and proposing improvements to specialists, users, and managers. Strong understanding of security and hardening in server environments. Providing technical expertise to ensure the correct application of operational procedures. Experience with enterprise monitoring suites such as OpManager, PRTG, or PowerAdmin. Aligning the contribution of systems and services with clearly defined business and financial goals and performance targets. Planning and overseeing the implementation of processes, procedures, tools, and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of automated systems and services. Implementing agreed-upon infrastructure changes and maintenance routines. Exposure to large-scale or enterprise environments with Windows Servers of various roles. Monitoring performance and taking corrective action as needed, in accordance with policies. Experience and Skills: Good skills in both technical and written communication. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms. Tertiary qualification and/or strong and relevant industry certifications. Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation. Solid understanding of Linux processes, automation, and bash shell. Proven experience in a similar role.
