The Role Senior Project Engineer to join our team on the Jervis Bay Road Intersection Upgrade project in the Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast. This role reports to the Project Manager and will work closely with site personnel onsite ensuring prompt project delivery and quality works. This is a permanent role with SRG Global. This role offers the prospect of transitioning to other upcoming and ongoing Civil projects after the current project concludes. In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing you to further develop your technical and project management skills. TfNSW experience in earthworks and roadworks is highly desitable. Works will include: Proposed improvement plan involves grade separating the interchange, the highway will be elevated above the existing road. Design will include dumbbell roundabouts with on and off ramps. Construction will use a substantial amount of imported fill for a stable foundation. A single-span bridge will be erected, supported by retaining walls. This aims to enhance efficiency and safety of the interchange. Approximately 400 meters of retaining walls, each 8 meters high, will be constructed for stability and integrity of the elevated highway. Key Responsibilities: Develop project-specific documentation, including technical, safety, environmental, and quality deliverables. Provide technical advice and support to the project delivery team, ensuring achievement of project objectives and monitoring performance through KPI tracking. Proactively inspect and ensure project activities conform to specifications, drawings, and QSE standards. Assist the Project Manager in directing construction, operations, and maintenance activities. Guide surveying activities for construction guidance and assess quantities/costs for project feasibility. Contribute innovative constructability options and foster positive teamwork for safe and compliant operations. Perform regular quality audits, oversee construction activities, and maintain current project documents. Assist in tender preparation, coordinate internal processes, and manage project controls. Monitor procurement activities to meet commercial and quality objectives. Manage project administration tasks, including cost recording and reporting. Administer procurement according to SRG standards and guidelines. Proactively manage the project schedule, report milestones, and assess resource deficiencies. Prepare recommendations for project variations, including cost estimates and contract negotiations. Monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors and report Non-Conformances for effective closure. Maintain SRG IMS processes and serve as key persons for internal and external audits, addressing issues promptly. The successful applicant will ideally have: Previous experience in road projects is essential Please note there is no DIDO/FIFO arrangement in place for this position Degree in Civil Engineering Strong communication and planning skills Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card). Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A Experience using Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and Jobpac are desirable.
