As the Lead Mechanical Engineer you will be managing the team through the entire manufacturing & mechanical product design life-cycle. I am partnering with an ASX listed manufacturing and engineering technology services company. This company has an exciting portfolio of products and services that provide tailored engineered solutions to the mining, resources, energy and utilities sectors. As a result of continued growth in Australia and world-wide, the business is recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the Perth team. As the Lead Engineer you would be responsible for: Managing a team of specialist engineers through a products full engineered lifecycle to market deployment. Operate as the last point of contact for the quality control and assurance of the – design, calculations, modelling, testing, technical documentation and analysis. You would still be required to perform and contribute across design, calculations, modelling, testing, technical documentation and analysis. The role would be broken up 30% engineering contribution, 35% team management, the rest would be working on manufacturing, engineering procurement, project management, client interfacing and consulting. Manage the manufacturing process across mechanical and structural equipment and components. Working closely with the electrical and automation disciplines. Relevant qualifications and skillset: A degree qualified Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer. 7-10 years of industry experience ideally in manufacturing and product design engineering. Expert experience with Solidworks design & modelling (FEA, DEM, Stress Analysis etc). Electro-mechanical knowledge highly regarded. What is on offer for the successful candidate?
